Delete My Activity for Facebook™ ("the extension", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent browser extension that helps users review, filter, and delete selected activity from their Facebook Activity Log. This policy explains what information the extension and its supporting services handle and how that information is used.
This extension is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc. or Facebook.
Information processed by the extension
When the extension is used on Facebook, it may process activity information displayed in the user's Activity Log, including posts, comments, photos, videos, messages, and related activity metadata. This information is used only to display activity, apply user-selected filters, and perform deletion actions explicitly initiated by the user.
The extension does not sell Facebook activity data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.
Account and authentication information
- Account information: your name, email address, and a generated account identifier when you register.
- Authentication information: a salted password hash. We do not store your password in plain text.
Subscription information
- Subscription information: subscription plan, payment status, billing dates, and payment-provider customer identifiers when applicable. Payment processing is handled by the applicable external payment provider; we do not store full payment card numbers.
Extension configuration and local storage
The extension uses Chrome's local storage to save preferences, configuration, feature settings, usage state, and account or subscription-related state. This information is stored locally in the user's browser unless a feature requires a request to the supporting service.
Supporting-service requests
The extension may send limited requests to its supporting service to retrieve extension configuration, check account or subscription status, process authentication-related requests, and troubleshoot or secure the service. These requests may include account identifiers, subscription information, configuration data, request timestamps, and IP addresses recorded by the hosting provider.
Facebook activity is not sent to the supporting service unless explicitly required for a clearly described extension feature.
How information is used
We use information to:
- create and manage your account;
- authenticate you and keep the service secure;
- provide, maintain, and troubleshoot the extension and portal;
- display and manage activity at your direction;
- manage subscriptions and prevent payment fraud; and
- respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us host the application, store its database, process payments, or protect the service, and only as needed for those purposes. Those providers must protect the information they process on our behalf.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account and subscription information while your account is active or as needed for the purposes described above. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us through the contact information below. We may retain limited information when required by law or needed to resolve disputes and prevent abuse.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including salted password hashing and encrypted configuration payloads. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
